Quick Recipe to Make the Best Pasta

Sometimes cooking is the best way to unravel after a long day and be able to taste all your hard work. Pasta is an easy dish made all around the world and served in many ways. This is a quick and easy set of steps to make the best creamy pasta! Be sure to follow the instructions exactly to come out with the best product! You will need to gather ingredients before starting! Lastly, don’t forget to add your own twist on this recipe based on what your taste buds enjoy. You can always spice it up with seasoning, some meat, or additional vegetables.

  1. This should serve three people and the total cooking time should be about 15 minutes so a great after work snack!
  2. The ingredients you will need are listed below:
  3. 2 cups milk any fat %
    1 1/2 cups chicken broth
    3 tbsp butter
    1 large garlic clove minced
    8 ounces fettuccine
    1/2 cup heavy cream
    3/4 cup freshly grated parmesan plus more for garnish
    Salt & pepper to taste
    Parsley for garnish
  4. Make sure you use a skillet large enough to fit the pasta.
  5. Then place the skillet on the stove over medium-high heat. Add milk, chicken broth, butter, and garlic. Then leave the solution to simmer then add pasta.
  6. Make sure you move the pasta around every 30 seconds or so until it is completely soft just to make sure they don’t stick to each other. Once the pasta is softened.
  7. Then reduce heat to medium and stir every couple of minutes.
  8. After about 6 minutes, the pasta should be almost done with the exception of liquid covering the base of the skillet. Add cream and parmesan and mix.
  9. Simmer, stirring occasionally, for around two minutes, until the sauce is thicker for additional taste and the pasta is cooked. If you cook it too long and the sauce is chunky, add a splash of hot tap water, it will go back to silky with a few tosses.
  10. Adjust salt and pepper to taste and serve immediately, garnished with freshly grated parmesan and parsley

Dairy Free Brownies!

Follow the recipe for gooey, chocolatey brownies that are dairy free! These brownies are easy, delicious and perfect dessert that never disappoints! With minimal dishes and clean up, these can be made in less than an hour including cooking time.

½ cup vegetable oil

1 cup sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla

2 eggs

¼ teaspoon baking powder

⅓ cup cocoa powder

¼ teaspoon salt

½ cup flour

Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Mix together the vegetable oil and the sugar. Add in the vanilla and mix until well combined. Add in one eggs and mix fully until fully incorporated. Add in second egg and mix. In a separate bowl, mix together baking powder, cocoa powder, salt and flour. Once all dry ingredients are fully combined, slowly incorporate the dry ingredients into the egg mixture. Add in the chocolate chips so that they are evenly distributed within the batter. Cooking and Baking as Hobbies!

Baking and cooking are wonderful pass time and stress relieving activities any time. Both things are both rewarding and fun with an amazing turnout almost every time. Both baking and cooking are my favorite hobbies and can be the best way for me to relax and provide people with delicious treats. From fresh, homemade waffles to light, gooey cookies, baking is a diverse, well rounded activity for any mood. Cooking is an extremely broad field with so many different branches all with amazing potential and filled with people with amazing passion for their work. Food trucks have taken off in the recent past opening up so many opportunities for unique varieties of food in open minded cities. With outdoor restaurants, people have been more inclined to try new things making cooking and baking even more exciting with new capabilities. Cooking and baking are amazing hobbies that every person should have to ability to experience.

Inspiration Pieces!

Creating these spreads for Sweet and Savory took a lot of brainstorming and a lot of scrolling through Pinterest to find something that was appealing to the eye. Something that I found that caught my eye was this very unique geometric theme. I saw three ideas that I really loved and after I saw these inspiration pieces, I knew exactly how to execute them and create something that I ended up loving. Something that was very fascinating was being able to see the results and being able to feel proud for creating something. Although most of it wasn’t too hard, there were times where I didn’t know how to format things for the page not to look to empty. Below are pieces of inspiration that were used for the table of contents, the meet the editors, and my feature story. After being inspired, we just incorporated our theme and created some spreads that we all came to admire.

Four Tips on How To Be a Successful Cook…

Cooking is a wonderful skill to have in the back of your mind whether you are moving out, inviting people over, trying to start a new hobby, or want to mix it up a little and have a home-cooked meal. Although cooking is fun-filled and satisfying, it can get frustrating if you’re new to the idea. Here are some tips on how to be a successful cook, making it a relaxing and enlightening experience. The first thing to note is to use your hands! Often new cooks are afraid to get a little dirty but make sure in addition to tools you use hands if needed. The second tip is to mess with your dishes a little. Most times even if you follow a recipe exactly the dish doesn’t come out the way you want. Try altering things, play around with seasoning, new ingredients, and you will come up with a great dish with your own twist in no time! The third piece of advice is to try what works for you. Everyone had a different environment in the kitchen with different techniques and interests. Figure out how you like to cook, what dishes you prefer, and what your taste pallet is. Lastly, be patient and don’t be afraid of failure. All cooks have started off somewhere, and practice makes perfect so go out and try something new and who knows you might end up loving it!

What’s one of your favorite hobbies?

Cooking and Eating are one of the greatest things to do! Whether it is about treating yourself for accomplishing something and going out to eat or making a meal for your family, cooking and eating are wonderful things. These two things are some of my favorite hobbies –especially eating. Cooking is one of my favorite things to do, it allows me to spend some quality time with my mother, but also allows me to destress myself. Sometimes being in the kitchen is all I need to be happy. One of my favorite parts about being in the kitchen –similar to the owners of food trucks– is getting to create something and then later enjoy it, especially if it’s with my loved ones. It not only lets me destress myself, but it permits me to learn about different cultures. By doing this, I get some very good benefits and I enjoy performing these hobbies. Overall getting to cook is one of my favorite things, but getting to see the results and taste them is even better!
