Sometimes cooking is the best way to unravel after a long day and be able to taste all your hard work. Pasta is an easy dish made all around the world and served in many ways. This is a quick and easy set of steps to make the best creamy pasta! Be sure to follow the instructions exactly to come out with the best product! You will need to gather ingredients before starting! Lastly, don’t forget to add your own twist on this recipe based on what your taste buds enjoy. You can always spice it up with seasoning, some meat, or additional vegetables.
- This should serve three people and the total cooking time should be about 15 minutes so a great after work snack!
- The ingredients you will need are listed below:
- 2 cups milk any fat %
1 1/2 cups chicken broth
3 tbsp butter
1 large garlic clove minced
8 ounces fettuccine
1/2 cup heavy cream
3/4 cup freshly grated parmesan plus more for garnish
Salt & pepper to taste
Parsley for garnish - Make sure you use a skillet large enough to fit the pasta.
- Then place the skillet on the stove over medium-high heat. Add milk, chicken broth, butter, and garlic. Then leave the solution to simmer then add pasta.
- Make sure you move the pasta around every 30 seconds or so until it is completely soft just to make sure they don’t stick to each other. Once the pasta is softened.
- Then reduce heat to medium and stir every couple of minutes.
- After about 6 minutes, the pasta should be almost done with the exception of liquid covering the base of the skillet. Add cream and parmesan and mix.
- Simmer, stirring occasionally, for around two minutes, until the sauce is thicker for additional taste and the pasta is cooked. If you cook it too long and the sauce is chunky, add a splash of hot tap water, it will go back to silky with a few tosses.
- Adjust salt and pepper to taste and serve immediately, garnished with freshly grated parmesan and parsley
